MODIFIED ASPHALT

It is an asphalt mixture prepared by mixing the broken and sifted, max. size 13 mm or 20 mm. coarse aggregate and fine aggregate, filler and special additives, with bitumen binder between certain gradation limits, in a plant at a certain temperature, and which is generally laid on the top layer of the superstructure in contact with the vehicle wheels.

USAGE AREAS

Modified coatings are preferred as a surface layer on roads and airports with heavy vehicle traffic

  • High strength and resistance to deformation,
  • Better structural internal resistance is applied to reduce rutting,
  • It is applied to reduce the formation of rutting.

APPLICATION

All infrastructure works must be completed before laying, and the road surface must be made ready for laying by removing the adhesive material. Laying should be done with a paver in accordance with the plan, profile and cross-sections of the road. Compaction should be started immediately after the mixture is laid on the road.

MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR

Unlike the maintenance and repair of traditional asphalt, there is no need for an extra maintenance-repair

ENVIRONMENT AND SAFETY

When applied correctly, it does not have properties that can harm nature. Safety precautions must be followed.
